Hello, I’m Whitney!

I design digital experiences that bridge gaps between technology and human needs. With a background spanning healthcare and computer science, I bring a unique perspective to UX design—one that values accessibility, clarity, and empathy.

As a current Master's student in Human-Computer Interaction and Design at UC Irvine, I'm building on my foundation in computer science (B.S., MSU Denver, Magna Cum Laude, 3.9 GPA) and 13+ years as a dental hygienist. My interest in UI/UX began during internships with Colorado STEM Ecosystem, where I designed a mobile app, and Colorado Sustainability Hub, where I analyzed user flows and designed for an AI chatbot. This sparked my transition into human-centered design, leading to full stack development experience as an intern for Roadrunner Connect, where I debugged and developed admin features for their mobile application.

This combination of healthcare experience, technical expertise, and design evolution shapes my approach to creating intuitive interfaces that empower rather than overwhelm users. My work spans the full product development lifecycle—from conducting ethnographic field research to designing component libraries to developing functional prototypes.

Whether analyzing user flows, conducting user research, or building seamless experiences, I believe every design decision should serve a purpose and put users first.
